Return Policy


We at DSPdoctor search high and low for the best quality recording gear built anywhere in the world. We work with companies that take pride in, and stand behind, their equipment. If we feel a manufacturer makes it  difficult to work with them, we won’t. Because of this, working with us becomes easier for you, our customer.

We offer equipment that is investment-grade, not trendy or buzz-worthy. Gear that you can record with for a lifetime, not grow out of. We offer this type of equipment in all price ranges. Even if you have a limited budget, we can provide you with high quality tools that will improve your recordings.

We want to talk about gear and recording…we love it! 

So, if you are interested in a product we carry, feel free to ask us questions about it. If you are only interested in our “best price” for the gear you want, you can ask that too. But, because we spend a lot of time with each of our clients, finding them exactly the piece that is right for them, please don’t take up a ton of our time with this consultation if you are planning to make your purchase from a lower priced dealer. That is not a problem, we just prefer you ask your questions to the dealer that you will be purchasing from. Fair is fair. If you value our input and appreciate our service, then we ask that you support that service by purchasing from us. We go over and above for our customers, just ask around.

If you do make purchase from us, our return policy is quite simple. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, let us know. We ask that you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Again, because the gear we sell is high-end, most clients do a bit of research about the gear before they purchase it. They either ask us, or search online for the info they need. Because of this pre-sale consultation and research, there are usually no major surprises once the new gear is patched in. If there is, you would know it very quickly. A lot of the products that we offer are custom made and built-to-order, so certain pieces are non-returnable. We will let you know upon purchase if this is the case with the equipment you are buying. 

The usual process is applied for returns. We ask that the equipment be returned to us via the same method of shipment that was used to ship it to you. All packaging, literature, warranty cards, accessories, etc. must be included with the return. If the equipment arrives back to us in any condition other than the condition that it was sent, a 15% re-stocking fee will apply. You will be refunded via the method of payment used for the purchase. The refunded amount will have the shipping cost deducted from it (even if you were not charged shipping on the original purchase).
